“XSION Transdisciplinary Innovation International Forum” is originated from the 2012 “IT Next”, which is a seminar based on the cloud technology trend. Responding to the fact that Taiwan’s cloud industry has mature research and technology ability, but must corporations don’t have visibility in the global market. It may be due to the lack of integration and still keeping the OEM manufacturer thinking.
Combining feedbacks from domestic and international industry predecessors, success factors of products and services must have 3 conditions, business strategy, innovative technology application, and user experience. They are not only important to the company itself, but also to the products and services. Therefore, the transformation of the event in 2016 will embedded these 3 major conditions as a development foundation to provide more contents to share successful business models and potential applications and have in-depth discussions.
This year’s theme of XSION forum is “Service experience.” Based on 3 essential elements, the forum deepens the empathy and service design ideologies. Through new startups and big corporations’ cases, we share thoughts, and to sum up with public service innovative projects and smart city new demands. We hope to bring new inspired thoughts for domestic companies and professionals.
As in the past, this event is expected to continue to improve user experience from all perspectives, to activate thoughts and visions, and to promote a healthy innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem!
The focus of this year's event is "Brand value increase ∞ full experience;" a series of selected 13 speeches about user experience lays out a complete guidance of the topic.

Besides, we wish to strengthen all industries by providing flexible thinking and integration ability. In this forum, new startups share ways to discover customer new demands through transposition thinking, and help companies successfully create value-added service and increase brand visibility. Furthermore, these speeches will inspire audiences and give them imagination of the future public innovation service and smart environment as well as add positive energy to the industry.

“Putting yourself in other’s shoes” allows you change your perspective, change your position and adjust your mind. “It takes all sorts to make a world.” We must know that being different from others is normal. And we can understand that “other’s benefit” and “own benefit” are equally important. And then, we can enter the role of "others" to consider the overall situation.
Through learning from David’s “transposition thinking” method, we can challenge our own ideas, thoughts, and actions. Thus, in a highly competitive market, everyone can acquire the key competency of “predicting other’s choice of strategy.”

The car industry, is ripe for disruption. From shifting consumer perceptions toward car ownership to new tech players who intend to challenge the status quo, automotive OEMs of the world are at a philosophical crossroads of sorts.
As an individual who started his career as a car designer and having crossed over, joining the ranks of design thinkers and ethnographic researchers, I have had an unique opportunity to personally observe and experience the organizational pain points that are inherent to the research and development cycles of today’s auto manufacturers. And while these pitfalls may very well be responsible for the downfall of a generation that has defined mobility for the 20th Century, they also present opportunities that can be addressed through the way design innovation consultants, like those of Continuum, work to uncover deep insights and values that drive and inspire those we cherish as our customers.

《Homo Deus The Brief History of Tomorrow》, 《The Inevitable: understanding the 12 technological forces that will shape our future》, and《The Third Wave: An Entrepreneur’s Vision of the Future》 are 3 popular books that were published in Taiwan this year. In fact, books related to the subject are too numerous to mention. They all point out one thing, which is that we are moving into the era of “big shift.”
Technology is really impacting the development of the world. However, there is a hidden tendency that people cannot ignore, which is Engagement. Simply put, it means that all get together to do a meaningful thing. The stronger power of engagement accumulates, the more values the innovation creates.
“Getting all together to achieve one thing” has strong social needs. New startups can develop niche markets based on this concept. Especially in the era of “maniac politics, absurd society, and extreme climate,” more and more people wish to unite to take actions to make positive change for the world.

Service department service manager @ Duofu Care & Services
The founder, Jeff Hu, at the time his 90 years grandmother was sick and had to use a wheelchair, experienced and realized that Taiwan society has many unfriendly environments toward disabled people. Disabled people are tortured and suffered by having troubles on waiting a bus, booking a Rehabus, or calling a taxi. The wheelchair moving problem made their life circle become smaller. As a result, Jeff decided to dedicate to barrier-free service and established Taiwan’s first private Rehabus company.
The company provides good quality services to solve transportation problem for pregnant women, kids, elderly, and disabled people. Today, it provides more than transportation service. In 2016, the company established travel agent department. Hopefully, more disabled and elder friends can enjoy happy time with their relatives and their families can be relieved as reducing some of their burdens.
Doufu Care & Services started its business from call for transportation service, especially for disabled people’s convenience and instant service. Later on, the company adopted on-time, manner, clean and others to set up service standards in the industry, even solved the problem of moving wheelchairs up and down the stairs.
Therefore, after solving the basic problem of moving vertically and horizontally, we started to fulfill more consumer’s needs. We accompany disabled people and elderly to participate more social activities, such as, watch movie or game, go shopping, and travel. The more we go out, the more the society will understand their needs. It will remind the others to provide better services or products for them or adjust an unfriendly environment.
Only solving social problems, providing warm and paid services to consumers, and bringing more resources in, the industry can be upgraded. To the end, we can feel relieved when we get old.
